Athletes

An award from Scottish Sports Aid not only provides financial support but it also provides recognition. It acknowledges that these young athletes and disability sports stars have a special ability and, with the correct level of support, they could go on and achieve their full potential. By receiving an Award a recipient is entering a unique club, with existing members being some of the biggest names in Scottish sport.

Olympic medalists who have benefited from our help in the past include Sir Chris Hoy, Allan Wells, Shirley Robertson, Liz McColgan, Yvonne Murray, Craig MacLean and Gillian Lindsay.
