Welcome to Scottish Sports Aid

Scottish Sports Aid is a charity that provides financial assistance in the form of grant awards to talented sporting youngsters in the 12 to 22 year age range and to disability athletes of various ages, who are competing at national level in their age group, and are already representing Scotland at senior level, or are considered to have the potential to do so. The finance given is to help the athletes with their travel and training costs, and will hopefully assist them in becoming Scotland's future sporting stars. In 2011 we distributed over £250,000 of awards to more than 250 of Scotland's most promising young sports stars and disability athletes.

The dedication of these youngsters and the huge sacrifices in terms of time and money by them and their parents are greatly to be commended.

If you are an athlete and wish to know more about how to apply for a Scottish Sports Aid grant, then please refer to our nomination process.
